An iconic moment from the 1975 World Series game six, Carlton Fiskas 12th inning game-winning home run, captured in this 16¯¿½x20¯¿½ black and white hand-autographed photo.
The 1975 World Series, played between the Boston Red Sox and the Cincinnati Reds, was ranked by ESPN as the second-greatest World Series ever played. While Cincinnati won the series in seven games, it was October 22, 1975 the sixth game, a 12-inning classic at Boston's Fenway Park culminated by a game-winning home run by Carlton Fisk, that was truly historic. At the bottom of the 12th inning, Carlton Fisk faced Pat Darcy, the eighth Reds pitcher in that game. Fisk took Darcy's second pitch and lifted a high drive down the left-field line. The ball struck the foul pole well above the Green Monster. In what has now become a classic baseball film highlight, the camera caught Fisk wildly waving his arms to his right after hitting the ball, as if he was trying to coax the ball to "stay fair". The ball indeed stayed fair and the Red Sox won the game, tying the Series. This photo and Carlton Fiskas autograph in blue felt tip have been authenticated by (Steiner Hologram Only).
