Aaron Boone has been part of New York Yankees history as both a player and manager. A third-generation Major League player, Boone spent 12 seasons in the majors and played for the Cincinnati Reds, Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins, Washington Nationals, and Houston Astros.  Boone's defining moment as a player came during the 2003 American League Championship Series, when his extra inning home run against the Boston Red Sox sent the Yankees to the World Series.
