Torah Bright born in Cooma, New South Wales is an Australian professional snowboarder and gold and silver Olympic medalist & 2x gold medalist, 3x US Open winner, 2x Global Open Champion, 3x World Superpipe Champion, former TTR World Champion and recipient of the Best Female Action Sports Athlete at the ESPY awards. She won bronze in 2013 at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships.  Bright is Australian's most successful Winter Olympian. In 2014 she became the first ever Olympic athlete to qualify (male or female) to qualify for all 3 snowboarding disciplines: halfpipe, slopestyle & boardercross. She finished 7th in the inaugural women's slopestyle final and won silver with a score of 91.50 in the women's halfpipe. This was Australia's first medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. In 2006 Winter X Olympic she won a silver medal in Aspen, Colorado. Bright took 1st place at the Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open in the women's halfpipe, giving her back to back wins in 2 consecutive competitions in 2017. She qualified in 2010 for the #1 spot for the final of women's halfpipe in 2010 at the Winter Olympics at Vancouver, defeating the odds by suffering 2 concussions beforehand in training. 2013 Winter X Games XVII in Aspen, Colorado (4th).
