He led the U.S. basketball team to gold medals in two Summer Olympics, and led his AAU team to three national titles.
He played for the Phillips 66ers from 1946–1952.
He is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, being inducted in 1961.
Bob Kurland passed away on September 29, 2013 at the age of 88 in Sanibel Island, Florida.
